DONATING TO MAYA TRADITIONS PROJECTS
While the proceeds from our product sales fund many of our social programs,our sales do not generate enough to cover everything, so we are unable to meet all of the needs of the women's communities we work with for assistance in health and education. Donations are gratefully accepted to help sustain our projects and provide more scholarships to the children of the weavers. Below are some other ways you could help as well:
How You Can Support Maya Traditions Programs:
- If you are traveling to Guatemala, don’t go empty handed. Carry down a second bag with school supplies, children’s clothing, and weaving or basketry materials for our workshops.
- Purchase a Fair Trade gift from our retail website at www.mayafairtrade.com. If you are a Retailer you can purchase our goods on our wholesale website: www.mayatraditions.com/catalog
- Volunteer in Guatemala: We need support in our Medicinal Herb Garden and Educational Programs. Minimum commitment is six months. Spanish speaking skills are definitely a plus.
- Donate airline miles: We sometimes need to bring volunteers down to give educational workshops or to assist with other programs.
- Share your skills in areas such as textile and product design, fundraising, marketing and sales.
- Host a fundraising event at your home or church to sell Maya Traditions products and raise money for our programs.
