Marcelle holds a Bachelor of Arts (International Studies) from RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia.  Marcelle has lived in Guatemala since 2003 and began volunteering with FTM in 2004 whilst undertaking field study research focusing on Gender and Development for her undergraduate degree. She has served FTM in every capacity including Disaster Relief Project Manager, Education Program Coordinator, Communications and Outreach Director and Development Director until taking on the role of Executive Director in October 2011. Marcelle´s experience of volunteering, consulting and working with non profits in Australia, El Salvador and Guatemala and her passion and commitment to Fair Trade make her a perfect fit for the rising challenges of FTM. Marcelle´s skills and leadership style have permitted her to address sustainability issues and redefine the direction needed to ensure that the vision of FTM´s founder Jane Mintz continues to be realized.
